# Device requirements

> The minimum specifications for the tablets and phones that run the Nexudus apps.

## Overview

Before you buy or assign a device, make sure it meets the requirements for the app you're installing. Requirements differ between the tablet apps and the mobile apps.

## Tablet apps

[NexBoard](/apps/nexboard), [NexEvents](/apps/nexevents), [NexIO](/apps/nexio), and [NexKiosk](/apps/nexkiosk) run on a dedicated tablet. Each tablet must:

* Be an **iPad or Android tablet** running a current major OS version.
* Have a stable **Wi‑Fi** connection.
* Meet the minimum screen and processor specs for smooth, always-on use.

<Note>
  For tablet apps, disable **auto‑lock** so the screen doesn't sleep during use: on the device, go to **Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto‑Lock → Never**.
</Note>

## Mobile apps

[Passport](/passport/overview) and its white‑label equivalents run on any iPhone or Android phone or tablet.

<Warning>
  Passport and its white‑label equivalents are **not compatible with Amazon Fire devices** or any device that doesn't use the App Store or Google Play to download apps.
</Warning>

[NexDelivery](/apps/nexdelivery) needs an iOS or Android device with **Bluetooth 4.0** and a steady Wi‑Fi connection.
