# Printing

> Connect PaperCut or Ezeep so customers can print with their Nexudus account, using printing credit, pay-per-print, or free printing.

## Overview

Printing integrations let customers print using their Nexudus account. Nexudus tells your print system who can print, and your print system sends their printing back to Nexudus, where it's taken from their [printing credit](/platform/billing/credits/printing-credit) or charged to them.

| Integration | Use it if |
| - | - |
| [**PaperCut Bridge**](/integrations/printing/papercut-bridge) | You run PaperCut MF or NG on your own server. This is the recommended way to connect PaperCut. |
| [**PaperCut (Extender)**](/integrations/printing/papercut) | You're still on the older PaperCut extender. Move to PaperCut Bridge when you can. |
| [**Ezeep Blue**](/integrations/printing/ezeep-blue) | You use Ezeep Blue cloud printing. |
| [**Ezeep**](/integrations/printing/ezeep) | You use the original Ezeep cloud printing service. |

All are free in Nexudus. You need an account with the print provider.

## Choosing how to charge for printing

Decide how customers will pay for printing before you set up an integration — it decides which settings you use.

| Pricing model | How it works | You need |
| - | - | - |
| **Pay-per-print only** | Customers print as much as they like and are invoiced for every page. | A printing product |
| **Credits only** | Customers can only print while they have printing credit. When it runs out, printing stops until they get more. | A printing credit |
| **Credits and pay-per-print** | Printing comes out of credit first; once it runs out, customers are invoiced for the rest. | A printing credit and a printing product |
| **Free unlimited printing** | Customers print for free. | Neither |

### Setting up credits and products

1. **A resource type for printing.** In **Inventory → Resources → Resource types**, add a type called *Printing*.
2. **A printing credit.** In **Inventory → Resources → Printing credits**, add a credit, choose the *Printing* resource type, and set its **Price rate** to **1**. Then include it in your [plans and products](/platform/billing/credits/printing-credit#giving-printing-credit-to-customers).
3. **A printing product.** Add a [product](/platform/billing/products) customers are charged through for each print. For PaperCut, set its price to **0.01** so your PaperCut page costs are applied (1 PaperCut credit = 0.01 in your currency). Ezeep uses two products — one for colour and one for black and white — priced per page.
