# Virtual Offices

> Sell virtual office plans with a business address and mail handling, onboard customers with identity and AML checks, and handle their mail the way they choose.

## Overview

A **virtual office** gives a customer a business address at your location, and handles the mail and parcels that arrive for them, without them using your space. With the **Virtual Offices** add-on, Nexudus adds what you need to run that service:

* **Virtual office plans**, with the delivery handling options you offer, the charges for each, and limits on recipients and addresses. See [Virtual office plans](/platform/virtual-offices/plans).
* **Onboarding and compliance**: proof of address and ID, AML screening of company directors, and an onboarding form. The contract can wait to start until the checks pass. See [Onboarding and compliance](/platform/virtual-offices/onboarding-and-compliance).
* **Delivery handling**: each customer chooses what happens to their mail, parcels, checks and publicity, for example scan and forward, or shred. Each delivery then shows the steps to follow, and the charges for each. See [Handle virtual office deliveries](/platform/virtual-offices/deliveries).

Customers sign up and set their preferences in the Members Portal. See [Virtual office onboarding](/member-portal/virtual-office/onboarding).

## Turn on Virtual Offices

The Virtual Offices add-on costs 50 for 10 mailboxes, plus 5 per month for each additional mailbox, in your account's currency. Only the account owner can buy or cancel it.

1. Go to **Settings → General settings → Your Nexudus subscription** and open the **Add-on subscriptions** tab.
2. On the **Virtual Office subscription** card, select **Purchase Virtual Offices**.

Other admins see **Contact account owner to activate** instead.

## What changes when it's on

| Where | What you get |

| **Plans** | **This plan is a virtual office plan** on the plan's details, the **Virtual office plan** option when you add a plan, and a **Virtual Office** tab on virtual office plans. |
| **Contracts** on a virtual office plan | **Contacts**, **Identity checks**, **AML checks**, **Forms** and **Delivery handling** tabs. |
| **Deliveries** for virtual office customers | Each delivery follows the customer's handling preference, with a step for each action and charges for each step. |
| **CRM → Identity checks** | Every customer's proof of address and ID checks, to review and approve. |

Without the add-on, you can still log deliveries for any customer, notify them and mark them as collected. See [Deliveries](/platform/operations/deliveries).
