Overview

Before you buy or assign a device, make sure it meets the requirements for the app you’re installing. Requirements differ between the tablet apps and the mobile apps.

Tablet apps

NexBoard, NexEvents, NexIO, and NexKiosk run on a dedicated tablet. Each tablet must:
  • Be an iPad or Android tablet running a current major OS version.
  • Have a stable Wi‑Fi connection.
  • Meet the minimum screen and processor specs for smooth, always-on use.
For tablet apps, disable auto‑lock so the screen doesn’t sleep during use: on the device, go to Settings → Display & Brightness → Auto‑Lock → Never.

Mobile apps

Passport and its white‑label equivalents run on any iPhone or Android phone or tablet.
Passport and its white‑label equivalents are not compatible with Amazon Fire devices or any device that doesn’t use the App Store or Google Play to download apps.
NexDelivery needs an iOS or Android device with Bluetooth 4.0 and a steady Wi‑Fi connection.
