Overview
NexKiosk turns a tablet into a point of sale. Operate it in two modes:- POS mode — staff-operated. Ring up purchases for members and guests, take card payments, and manage invoices.
- Kiosk mode — self-service. Customers pick their own products and pay at the counter.
Choosing a mode
When the tablet opens, you choose between POS and Kiosk mode. Both modes then ask you to select a payment provider.POS mode
A full point-of-sale interface with a sidebar drawer giving access to:- Sales — browse products, add to basket, apply discounts, and take payment.
- Customers — search for members and contacts, view their details, and charge their account.
- Invoices — view past and upcoming invoices, including those created outside NexKiosk (when “show all invoices” is enabled).
- Products — browse the full product catalogue with stock levels.
Customer types
POS mode distinguishes between:- Members — logged in with their credentials. Purchases can be charged to their account (added to bill) or paid immediately.
- Guests / Quick Sale — no login required. A designated default customer is used, and payment is taken on the spot. Quick Sale requires a connected card reader.
Team billing
For teams with merged invoicing, POS identifies the paying member and attributes charges accordingly. Non-paying team members can still make purchases that are billed to the team.Kiosk mode
A streamlined self-service flow:- Customer picks Member and signs in with their email and password (or picks Guest for a quick sale when enabled).
- Browse available products and add to basket.
- Pay by card or have the charge added to their account.
Payment providers
NexKiosk supports the following payment providers:
The payment provider is selected per-location in the Admin Panel. Some features (like Quick Sale) require a physical card reader to be connected.
Billing behaviour
Depending on your settings:- Charge to account — for members with a subscription plan, purchases are added to their monthly invoice (unless “always invoice” is enabled).
- Immediate payment — the customer pays on the spot by card or manual method.
- Disable add-to-bill — force all purchases to be paid immediately, even for members.
- Tax display — show tax breakdown on receipts when enabled.

Kiosk-mode purchases can carry configurable discounts (enabled/disabled per location). How to set up
