How Access Control Works

Access control in Nexudus is driven by inventory assignments:
  • When you assign a customer a plan, pass, or booking, you’re also granting them physical access
  • Each inventory item can be mapped to specific doors or lock tags in your access control system
  • The system automatically provisions and de-provisions access as inventory changes
  • Check-ins track when customers actually use the space

Common Use Cases

Membership-Based Access

Grant access based on active plans:
  • Map each membership plan to specific doors
  • Access is automatically granted when a contract starts
  • Access is revoked when a contract ends or is cancelled

Booking-Based Access

Grant temporary access for meeting room bookings:
  • Map resources (rooms) to specific doors
  • Access is granted only during the booking window
  • Access expires automatically when the booking ends

Pass-Based Access

Control access hours with time passes:
  • Map passes to specific doors or zones
  • Access is limited to the pass’s valid hours
  • Check-ins consume pass time allowances

Visitor Access

Provide temporary access for guests:
  • Visitors receive time-limited access codes
  • Access is automatically revoked after the visit window
  • Hosts can approve or deny visitor access requests
