Overview

A custom domain gives your members portal an address that uses your own domain, instead of the standard Nexudus address. For example, customers can visit members.example.com. Go to Settings → Website → Domains. You need the relevant domain-management permission or administrator access.

Before you start

  • Choose a domain or subdomain that your organisation owns.
  • Have access to its DNS records.
  • Confirm the address uses HTTPS and plan the change outside busy booking or sign-up periods.
Do not direct customers to a new address until its DNS and certificate setup are complete. An incomplete change can prevent customers from reaching the portal.

Add a custom domain

1

Open Domains

In Settings, open Website → Domains and select the add button.
2

Enter an internal name

Give the record a recognisable name for your team, such as “Members portal domain”.
3

Enter the domain URL

Enter the full HTTPS address, for example https://members.example.com.
4

Set the active period

Keep the domain active, or use optional start and end dates when it should only be available for a defined period.
5

Save and complete DNS setup

Save the record, then apply the DNS instructions provided for your deployment before testing the address in a browser.

Important behavior

Each location can use a domain URL only once. If you operate several locations, use a distinct subdomain for each portal unless your DNS and portal configuration are designed for a shared address. After DNS changes, allow time for records and certificates to update. Test sign-in, public pages, booking, and payment links before communicating the new address to customers.
