Overview
Administrators are the staff accounts that sign in to the Nexudus dashboard. You can create two kinds:- Full unrestricted administrator — complete access to everything in the dashboard, no restrictions.
- Restricted administrator — access limited to the permissions in one or more user roles.
Create an administrator
1
Open Users
Go to Settings → Users and click Add user.
2
Enter account details
On the general tab, add the person’s Full name and Email, plus their preferred language and default location where appropriate.
3
Set access
On the Access tab:
- Select the Locations this administrator can work with. They get access to the location they’re created in by default; add more here for multi-location access.
- Tick Full unrestricted administrator for complete access, or leave it unticked and select one or more Roles to restrict them.
4
Choose notifications
On the Notifications tab, toggle on the notifications you want this administrator to receive.
5
Save
Save the user. They’ll receive an email within a few minutes prompting them to access the dashboard and define their own password.
A restricted administrator needs at least one role — or the unrestricted toggle — otherwise they can’t do anything in the dashboard.
Add more locations later
To give an existing administrator access to other locations, open their record, go to the Access tab, and add the locations to the Locations field. The administrator receives an email notification for each new location added and can reach them via the Network menu.Link a customer profile to an administrator
An administrator created directly from Settings → Users has no customer profile. That’s fine for most admin work, but without one they can’t answer help desk requests, be a tour host, or post on discussion boards as themselves. To fix it, open the administrator, go to the Customer profiles tab, and add a customer profile using the same email address as the admin account — that email is what links the two records. Disable the welcome-message option, since the person already has dashboard access.Creating a customer profile for an administrator doesn’t increase your active user count unless they actually use that profile as a customer.
